Celebrated my birthday at Ascend! The food was absolutely delicious. Both my husband and I left so satisfied and thrilled by their food. We got sushi and steak as well as a birthday dessert! My favorite was the Hamachi sushi roll! Hands down probably the best sushi I’ve had. The only thing that was a little strange was their staff. They didn’t seem very friendly or welcoming. But we did come somewhat in the midst of holidays, so they might’ve just been so busy lately!

Wow! What an amazing experience! A restaurant that exceeds my expectations and worth waiting for. The restaurant itself was absolutely beautiful, kept clean and provided and amazing view of beautiful Bellevue! Highly recommend reserving a table by the window for first timers! Absolutely a breathtaking view. Service was great right from the beginning as staff provided a tour, explained the menu for new guests and were welcoming. One thing that will always make this restaurant stand out is - the willingness to accommodate any dietary restrictions. This was very impressive, and something other restaurants can learn from in order to provide a great experience for new,/returning guests. I felt that staff were communicative and friendly and genuinely cared about the experience of customers. The menu provided a variety of food choices as well as an opportunity for sides/add ons. There’s no doubt everything sounded amazing! Service was also quick in that food came pretty fast as well as a personal touch of the chefs bringing out the dishes individually and explaining the plate and what they have prepared. Food was presented beautifully as well as proportion sizes were great in that there was a perfect amount of food, while also having the option to chose a side which was brought out separately, not overpowering the beautiful plating and the dish you choose individually. The drink menu had a lot of variety and the presentations were stunning and again included small details such as dry ice, fruit within the drink presentation which really does allow the drinks here stand out from any drink that you may order and get. If you are visiting Bellevue and enjoy menus with a large variety, enjoy beautiful food presentations and overall want a new experience with a restaurant that’s not only delicious but that provides great service this is the restaurant for you! I found myself scrolling back through the menu and photos of what’s on the menus the very next day after visiting because the experience was so memorable and the food was absolutely delicious! My experience with dinner was fantastic and I know I’ll be back one day to experience brunch someday! Amazing experience!

You’re paying for the ambience, really. The food is good, sure, but not mind blowing. Other places have better steaks. The desserts are good though, and I’ve heard the happy hour menu is really nice. They do have the best views in Bellevue, but be prepared to pay for them

Ascend earns it’s reputation! Not an inexpensive restaurant, but an experience worthy of special occasions! This was our first time here. Atmosphere: We had a west facing view and the sunset over the city was fantastic. I wished I brought sunglasses in, but only for a bit before the sun went down. The views of Lake Washington and the Bellevue Square were amazing to see from so high up. Also welcome to go out to the patio, so we got a picture out there too. Service: Thomas was our head server and was friendly, knowledgeable, told us about things we didn’t even think to ask, and very attentive. He and his team were on top of it all night, food came out faster than we thought it might and our drinks (soda) were filled before they were even half gone. They made incredible recommendations too, explaining the menu and giving both their personal opinions and what is commonly ordered. Food: I expected the food to be amazing. A price tag like that for dinner wouldn’t be sustainable if it wasn’t. We both had an American Wagyu cut that was fabulous! The potatoes were good, but didn’t wow us. We also ordered mushrooms, fantastic blend of different varieties. The bread service at the beginning was unique, pork belly appetizer was so good too. For desserts, we got two and the presentation is very meticulously planned - they tasted amazing too, but this place is combining taste with presence and make for a memorable experience!

My partner and I came here to celebrate my birthday, and Ascend Prime truly delivered an unforgettable experience. This is definitely the spot to splurge for a special occasion—it felt worth every penny, and the amazing service truly makes you feel special. We made sure to grab a reservation ahead of time, and if you're a couple, you might get lucky with one of the tables right by the massive windows. The panoramic views of the city skyline and Lake Washington are absolutely breathtaking and instantly set the mood. The Cloud Nine cocktail was the perfect start—amazing! We decided to try the blend of steak and sushi. The sushi tacos were a fun, delicious surprise—a definite must-order (we didn't care much for the complimentary bread basket, but those tacos made up for it!). For my main dish, I had the Hamachi Truffle Roll. The flavor was fantastic and I'd order it again in a heartbeat, though I'll admit I wished there was a little more shaved truffle on top. My husband went for the Cap of the Ribeye Steak, and he absolutely loved it—cooked perfectly, tender, and intensely flavorful. The side of foraged mushrooms was also a great complement. To top off the night, the Halo dessert was presented beautifully, a perfect showstopper for a birthday celebration. Restaurant offers a dedicated plant based menu for vegetarian and vegan customers

Undeniably the best meal I have ever had in my life, bar none. I ordered the following as a part of a table for four: Appetizers - Salmon Ceviche Roll (6 pcs) - Caesar Salad w/ Smoked Salmon Entrées - Truffle Fries - 32oz Dry Aged Bone-in Porterhouse - Cabernet Sauvignon au pair Dessert - The Hive - Cappuccino The table total (including tax and a 20% gratuity) was just under 4 figures, though over 1/5 of the subtotal was a single bottle of wine. Expect ~120-180 per person, not including drinks. You can definitely get a table of four below $500 as there a few entrées at or below $40 - an absolute bargain given they share menu space with Wagyu and Caviar. Sparkling water is the way to go as the bread course, sushi, and appetizers are all very light and fluffy. They use Saratoga Sparkling & Still, which has a surprisingly elegant mouth feel. If you're coming for dinner, skip lunch.
